MBBS in China

Students who wish to study MBBS in Abroad must undoubtedly consider studying MBBS in China. Chinese medical programs have a lot of benefits to offer to thousands of aspirant students wanting to study medicine abroad. Studying MBBS in Abroad, MBBS in India, MBBS in Kyrgyzstan, MBBS in Kazakhstan, MBBS in Russia, MBBS in USA, MBBS in Europe, MBBS in Poland, MBBS in Georgia, MBBS in Ukraine, MBBS in Belarus, MBBS in Philippines etc all have their own pros and cons to consider. Also, the best country and college upon the budget and overall preferences of the student.

Due to its focus on health and medicine, China is highly famous for its medical education all around the world. It is one of the oldest destinations for studying medicine. In fact, medicine was evolved in ancient China. The Chinese people initially used herbs to treat and prevent various health problems. All this continued to evolve and get better with time.

And today, China has become the best study locations for MBBS in Abroad. There has been a continuous increment in the number of international students to study medicine in China. A large part of these students come from India. Thus, one of the most preferred locations to study MBBS by Indian students is certainly China.

This gives China more Indian students than the UK and the USA. China is a prestigious study location, is a neighboring country to India and its climatic conditions are also quite similar to that of India. Actually, MBBS in India is getting more and more difficult with time. This is the primary reason why a lot of students are now opting to study MBBS abroad, particularly to study medicine in China. This is because of a number of issues in the Indian medical education system.

MCI Screening Test Passing Ratio

To study medicine in China in MCI approved universities is very promising and prospectus. But, it is certainly not at all easy. It requires a lot of time, effort and myriad hours of hard work. However, the result of the MCI Screening Test depends on a lot of other factors as well, such as choosing the top medical university for MBBS. You should always select a medical university abroad with a high passing ratio in the FMGE or MCI Screening Test.

Your focus should not be to just attain an MBBS degree from any college in China. You should instead concentrate on quality teaching to study medicine in China. Do you know that China has a long list of affordable medical colleges but hardly 20% of them actually provide excellent and premium education quality to Indian students? All colleges to study medicine in China do not prepare a student for the FMGE or MCI Screening Test.

Think about it with a practical mind! If all colleges would provide excellent quality of education along with modern infrastructure, first-class facilities and MCI Screening Test training, what will be the meaning of difference in their ranking and overall fees structure? If all the colleges were good, none of them would have a different fee, right? This is why the quality of education matters a lot!!!

Recognition of Degree

The universities to study medicine in China hold recognition by some of the world’s leading medical councils and organizations such as:

  • World Health Organization (WHO),
  • Medical Council of India (MCI),
  • Medical Councils of various nations,

The total duration to study MBBS in China in one of the best MCI approved universities is a period of six years. This also includes one entire year of internship. However, internship in China is not compulsory. Indian students who go to study medicine in China can come back to India after five years of studies. They can do their internship in India. However, if a student does one year of internship in China before coming back to India, his/her internship is valid in India. This is the opposite to the case of MBBS in Russia.

The medical program in the top MCI approved universities China is taught in Japanese, English, and Chinese. It is taught as per the preference of the student. However, the study programs and their fees in all three mediums differ from university to university. The medical study in MCI approved universities in China is divided into two semesters per year. This makes a total of ten semesters.

Estimated Cost

Although every university has a different fees structure and every country has a different expense of living, on average the total fees of Chinese medical colleges usually costs around Rs. 18 lakhs – Rs.20 lakhs. The cost to study MBBS in China depends upon a lot of factors such as the university grade, ranking, type, hostel etc.

The cost of the top 10 medical colleges in China is still low as compared to India. The living cost in China for the Indian students is also very reasonable. Your total expense and fee structure may also depend on the fact whether you choose cheap medical colleges in China or an expensive one. Medical schools in China cost quite low as compared to MBBS in Europe as well. MBBS China fee structure is actually different for all three colleges.

As mentioned above, the English medium colleges have the highest fees structure. The tuition fee also depends upon the ranking of the college. You can complete your entire MBBS degree in China medical schools in nearly Rs. 7.5 lakhs if you choose a bilingual college.
