Budget Required If You Are Planning to Study MBBS in Ukraine

All the European universities that follow the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) have quite high tuition fees and extravagant accommodation charges. Ukraine, however, is amongst the most affordable European higher education medical institutions that provide excellent education quality without charging hefty fees.

Although the tuition fees and hostel charges depend from university to university, the overall cost to study MBBS in Ukraine can be estimated to be somewhere around Rs. 22 lacs to Rs. 25 lacs. As for the food expenses, you can expect it to be around Rs. 7,000 per month.

What is the KROK Exam for Studying MBBS in Ukraine?

No matter which Ukrainian medical university you take admission to, the KROK exam is a mandatory graduate exam for medical courses that is held in two parts before you are awarded your medical degree. The KROK-1 takes place at the end of the third year of your course and the KROK-2 is held at the end of the sixth year.

The KROK-1 and KROK-2 both comprise 200 multiple-choice questions and the duration for both these exams is three and a half hours. A student who cannot pass the KROK-2 will not be awarded a medical degree by the university and the Health Ministry of Ukraine. The biggest advantage of writing the KROK exam is that this competitive exam adds more value to your foreign medical degree once you come back to India.
