Established in 1897, Zhejiang University is one of the oldest and most esteemed public research universities in China. The university is located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. Organized into 37 colleges, schools, and departments offering more than 140 undergraduate and 300 graduate programs, this is one of the most selective institutions of higher education in China.
