Asian Medical Institute

Established in 2004, Asian Medical Institute is one of the leading public higher medical education institutions in Kyrgyzstan. The institute is located in the beautiful city of Kant, located about 20 km away from the country capital Bishkek. Officially licensed by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health of Kyrgyz Republic, the institute is also recognized by the MCI, WHO, USMLE, etc.


Moreover, the institute houses approximately 4,000 students including 1,800+ international students from more than 10 countries. The academic staff includes about 160 employees whereas the administrative staff houses around 50 people. Furthermore, the institute currently has 3 well-operating campuses based in various localities.


The first institute is located in Gagarina Street, Kant and features 3 boy's hostels and 1 girl's hostel for Indian students only. The first campus is enormously large with its polyclinic having more than 90 rooms for teaching purposes.


The second campus has 60 rooms for educational purposes, along with a 60 seated conference hall, 1,500 seated auditorium, and a large library with 9000+ books for medical studies. The third campus has 2 fully equipped lecture halls and 20 rooms for educational purposes.


The university has 14 affiliate hospitals in Kant as well as Bishkek to train medical students practically from the third year onwards. Furthermore, there are 10 departments and 4 faculties with many subdivisions to let undergraduate, as well as postgraduate students, choose their preferred fields of study.


About City & Weather

Located in the Chuy Valley of northern Kyrgyzstan, somewhere about 12 miles east of Bishkek, Kant is a picturesque town established in 1928. The city serves as an important industrial and service centre for the country.


Moreover, Kant experiences a humid continental climate with hot, dry summers and freezing winters. With an average temperature of 31.0 °C, July is the hottest month whereas January is the coldest month with an average temperature of -9.8 °C.
